WWE NXT second TV show is coming soon

The WWE NXT brand is about to grow from one show. It was previously reported that Triple H was reviewing the budget to see if he had room for another NXT show. The wheels are in motion to start.

According to Wrestling Inc, Triple H assembled a team to start planning a new show for NXT. It would be like a “minor league system” before the black and gold mark.

Former EVOLVE boss Gabe Sapolsky leads this new team. He also received “several agents and writers to help him familiarize himself with television writing”. Triple H is a huge Sapolsky fan and that led him to this post.

The idea is to create a show that has been described to me as “NXT for NXT”.

It’s unclear how this new show will be presented on TV, and it has been a challenge. They get the idea that this “is akin to another promotion going on in some of the smaller level markets.” House shows aren’t likely to return, so they just make it a TV series.

No mention has been made as to where this new show will air. It’s easy to assume that WWE will put it on their WWE Network streaming service.

This show idea has already been delayed and could be delayed again. Right now, the working idea is to release it in early 2021.

I love pro wrestling and I hate BS. These two things motivate me. Years of experience writing, journalism and researching exclusive inside information for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing professional wrestling journalism made a lot less sense. Professional beach balls at pro wrestling shows, professional dives if someone catches, anti-bullying, olives and pineapples on pizza.
