What time will Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols miniseries “Pistol” premiere on Hulu?

It seems like musical biopics are all the rage these days, so it makes sense that groundbreaking punk band The Sex Pistols would get their turn in the Hollywood spotlight. Largely inspired by Steve Jones’ 2016 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales of a Sex GunFX’s latest project Gun is a six-episode limited series chronicling some of the most iconic moments in the band’s history.

The limited series is created by Craig Pearce, who co-wrote the scripts for red Mill and Gatsby the magnificentand is directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle, who is best known for his work on Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire. The combination of these two individuals is sure to produce a visually striking energy that is perfect for the Sex Pistols’ chaotic, punk image.

Here is the official synopsis:

“Pistol is a six-episode limited series about a rock and roll revolution. The furious, raging storm at the center of this revolution are the Sex Pistols – and at the center of this series is Sex Pistols founding member and guitarist Steve Jones. Jones’ hilarious, moving, and at times harrowing journey guides us through a kaleidoscopic tale of three of the most epic, chaotic, and mucus-splattered years in music history. Based on the memoir Jones Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol, it’s the story of a group of spotty, loud, working-class kids with no future, who rocked the boring and corrupt establishment, threatened to bring down the government and changed music and culture forever.

WHEN GUN PREMIERE ON HULU?

The limited series will arrive on Hulu on Tuesday, May 31.

AT WHAT TIME GUN BE AVAILABLE TO STREAM ON HULU?

Hulu typically releases content around midnight on the East Coast, so we can expect to see Gun available to stream at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 31, or if you’re lucky, the day before at 9 p.m. on Monday, May 30.

WHO IS IN THE CAST OF GUN?

The six-episode miniseries features an eclectic cast of new and familiar faces, with the band members played by a cast of young actors: Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Anson Boon as Johnny Rotten, Christian Lees as Glen Matlock, Louis Partridge in Sid Vicious and Jacob Slater as Paul Cook.

They will also be joined by pros Maisie Williams as Pamela Rooke and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as band manager Malcolm MacLaren. Other cast members include Emma Appleton as Sid Vicious’ girlfriend Nancy Spungen and Sydney Chandler as Steve Jones’ love interest Chrissie Hynde.
