‘The Watcher’ Wants ‘Young Blood’ in First Netflix Limited Series Trailer – Rolling Stone


The Ryan Murphy-produced show about New Jersey’s dream house turned nightmare arrives October 13

After putting 657 Boulevard in the market with a fake viral ad, Netflix unveiled the first real trailer for The Observerthe streaming service’s next limited series on the viral real-life saga centering on a suburban New Jersey home stalked by the titular creep.

The Observer puts a fictional spin on the still-unsolved mystery, with Bobby Cannavale and Naomi Watts as the Brannocks, a couple who buy the New Jersey dream home, only to receive threatening letters demanding their children’s blood among others scary warnings.

While the real-life version of ‘The Watcher’ story consisted of just a few ominous letters, the limited series casts a cast of odd neighbors – Mia Farrow, Margo Martindale, Terry Kinney and Richard Kind, plus the real pissed off by Emmy-winning Jennifer Coolidge. real estate agent for good measure – to the mix.

As evidenced by the trailer, there are also plenty of hallmarks of executive producer Ryan Murphy’s work: occult happenings, evil spirits, corpses, and an actual hooded “Watcher” roaming the property via mute servers and underground labyrinths.

The Observer hits Netflix just in time for the Halloween season on October 13.
