ROANOKE, W.Va. – The Stonewall Resort kicked off its annual Winter Wanderlust series of events on Friday. The first stop in the four-part series was a “Beer and Bones” dinner.
The resort partnered with Greenbrier Valley Brewing for the event. The brewery offered fans of the event two new selections of beers to try. Additionally, other selections can only be found in the reception hall. To complete the meal, those in attendance were served chicken wings and back ribs, each accompanied by five sauces of your choice.
Stonewall Resort food and beverage manager Joe Corcoglioniti said an event like this would normally have grossed a few hundred. However, due to COVID-19 protocols, attendance was limited and the crowd was small. Corcoglioniti said although it has been a difficult year for the resort, he and his staff have adjusted well to the new guidelines.
“It wasn’t bad. I mean, we’re used to it now, and we’ve adapted. The events, like I said, are a bit smaller so we can contain them and make sure everyone feels safe during the events. And with that and with the public behind us, who support us, it has been a very good year, ”he said.
