Stephen Amell is currently receiving good reviews for his new Starz series Heels but his fans will probably always bring him back to his days on The CW’s Arrow. The series was DCTV Universe’s first show on The CW and it became a huge hit with the fan base, airing 170 episodes over eight seasons. The show, which has created its own Arrowverse which includes Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and many others, is still loved and while Amell is primarily looking to the future, he has revealed that there may be a way to attract her again.
Amell appeared on Small city Michael Rosenbaum star podcast Inside of you and was asked if he had been approached for any other superhero projects since ending his run on Arrow. Amell has not been approached for other superhero projects, but has said he would be ready to reprise the role of Oliver Queen if the opportunity arises. The actor said he believed in a limited series on HBO Max or Netflix “would be great.” Here is what he had to say:
âIf I had been approached I wouldn’t say, but I didn’t. I was thinking about this question as I was driving here and … If there ever was the opportunity to do six to eight episodes of Arrow like, like, a limited series on Netflix or HBO Max, or something like that, or on The CW, as the case may be, I think that would be amazing.
a Arrow running on Netflix, or HBO Max in particular, could be pretty cool as the series could get even darker than ever on The CW. I think there is great potential for great stories to be told on these platforms, so I would definitely be open to a return from Arrow in limited series.
Arrow finished his tour in 2020 and, during the “Crisis on Infinite Earth” crossover event, Oliver sacrificed himself to shut down the Anti-Monitor and restore balance to the multiverse. This marked Amell’s exit from the series with the last two episodes of Arrow focusing on the repercussions of her sacrifice. The character made a comeback in the final episode called “Fadeout,” which gave the role some finality. It would take some maneuvering to bring Oliver back, but in the world of comics and TV comics, anything is possible.
Would you like to see Arrow in limited series on Netflix or HBO Max?
