“Star Wars: Lando” Event Series Announced For Disney + Under “Dear White People” Creator Justin Simien


Among the big announcements made by Lucasfilm today during the 2020 edition Disney Investor Day was the revelation that the company is developing a series called Star Wars: Lando, about the notorious villain Lando Calrissian, which is expected to arrive on Disney + in the future.

There weren’t too many details announced for Star Wars: Lando, except that it is developed by Dear Whites creator Justin Simien. At this point, it is not yet officially known whether Billy Dee Williams or Donald Glover will reprise the role, or whether a new actor will be chosen as sole owner of the film. Millennium Falcon. A brief 90-second sizzle reel (containing mostly existing footage and a new Lando logo) was screened as part of the event, although it has yet to be released to the public.
