SPACEMOB Studio signs distribution agreement for Girl Unscripted limited series


Overland Park, KS, December 10, 2021 – ( – Studio SPACEMOB, an Answer Media company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with the entity created by BrightStar Media Group and Capstone Entertainment Group to be the, global distributor of their original limited series, Girl Unscripted.

Family, love, grief, opportunity, poverty, abuse, drugs … a girl’s life is complicated, and she often has no voice, or worse, no one listening. When it comes to these teenage struggles, award-winning filmmaker Tara Veneruso took this to heart and started a film camp to give girls a chance to express themselves and tell their stories. This documentary series spans over 10 years where we see teenage / pre-teen girls transform into adult women and have a fascinating chance to experience life through the eyes of open and courageous girls. Veneruso’s accounts are raw, touching, sad and full of hope. The trials and triumphs of a person’s life in her own words … an “unwritten girl”.

As the title suggests, the participants are the girls as they really are: raw, deep, and evolving. Every heartbreaking revelation and sudden explosion is laid bare before the audience in a combination of images shot by the subjects themselves and expertly composed images captured by internationally renowned cinematographer Tito Reynoso. The grainy, wearable segments are interspersed with feature-worthy premium images that create a richly textured piece that nimbly jumps between clips of the cast as girls and clips of them a decade later. The result is both grainy, unfiltered, and immediate while being meticulously structured in a way only hindsight will allow.

Girl Unscripted is created and directed by Tara Veneruso and produced by Veneruso and SPACEMOB studio president Eric Keith.

“There is no project or role in my professional career that I am more proud of than producing this series,” Keith said. “It has been a long, hard 15 years since Tara and I first met over coffee to plan the documentary and the program and the smartest decision we made was to stay patient for many years, so we can see more of them amazing women’s journeys.

“We are very grateful to the girls / young women and their families who opened their lives to us and shared the challenges they face,” added Keith. “This story is heartbreaking, painful, hopeful, joyful, with everything in between and I’m so excited to bring Girl Unscripted out into the world to see where it ends up and how people are reacting.”

The deal was negotiated by Loren Wilson, CEO of parent company Answer Media, on behalf of SPACEMOB and Capstone Entertainment Group on behalf of the series.
