Arguably the greatest writer in The Incredible Hulk comics, Peter David and Yildiray Cinar are teaming up for a limited Joe Fixit miniseries
Marvel recently brought back and retained some of its best talent throughout the company, and it looks like The Hulk will be next to get the same treatment. Revealed last Tuesday, the amazing Peter David will continue his run at Marvel by penning a new Joe Fixit story about the well-dressed and much-loved, gray hulk.
After David completed a Maestro-focused limited series trilogy with Maestro: World War Mthe author will continue to work with Marvel once again to tell the story of the hedonistic Las Vegas bodyguard known as Joe Fixit.
The story will be set during the original 1980s David Incredible Hulk timeline. With The Marvels acclaimed artist Yildiray Cinar ready to join in on the art.
“When I created Joe Fixit decades ago, it was just to shake up the standard formula,” David explained in an exclusive with Marvel. “Typically, Bruce would have set up some sort of situation and he would be worried that the Hulk would inevitably show up and mess things up. The storyline with Joe flipped the formula and set up the Hulk with his big situation in Vegas and he feared Bruce would show up to mess things up. I had no idea the character would have this staying power, and that so much would end up being done with him in the pages of The Immortal Hulk. I’m thrilled that Marvel gave me this opportunity to come back with an old friend.
