Olivia Colman directs HBO’s True Crime miniseries

HBO revealed the official Landscapers trailer for their new real crime drama, based on the actual murder of Patricia and William Wycherley, who were killed by their daughter and husband. The video highlights the love affair between Susan and Christopher Edwards, whose normal life changes completely when two dead bodies are discovered in the back garden of a house in Nottingham.

Starring Oscar winner Olivia Colman and Emmy nominee David Thewlis, the four-part limited series is set to debut on Monday, December 6. The next three episodes will begin every Monday at the same time.

Landscapers is created and written by Colman’s husband Ed Sinclair, who will also be executive producer alongside Colman through their South of the River Pictures. It is based on extensive research, hours of interviews and direct access to the defendants, who have always claimed their innocence of murder.

“Inspired by real events, the series tells a unique love story involving Chris and Susan Edwards, a seemingly ordinary British couple who are the subject of an extraordinary investigation when two corpses are discovered in the backyard of a house in Nottingham, ”the synopsis read.

The series will also star Kate O ‘Flynn (Bridget Jones’ baby), Dipo Ola (We hunt together), Samuel Anderson (The boys of the story), David Hayman (The boy in the striped pajamas), Félicité Montagu (I am Alan Partridge) and Daniel Rigby (Eric and Ernie, Flowers).

Landscapers is a production of Sister, South of River Pictures, HBO and Sky Studios. It is produced by Will Sharpe & Jane Featherstone & Chris Fry for SISTER, with Sharpe also being the director. It is produced by Katie Carpenter.
