Melissa Doyle Returns to Seven to Host This Is Your Life Special Event Series


Renowned journalist and presenter Melissa Doyle will return to Seven to host a new series of special events.

the old Sunrise the host will be front and center when a revamped version of the Aussie favorite It’s your life returns to screens later in 2022.

It’s your life celebrates one iconic Australian at a time, delivering eye-opening insights, moving reunions and never-before-seen footage of their closest colleagues, friends and family, including international names and stellar surprise artists.

During her 25 years with Seven, Melissa hosted Sunrise, Sunday night, 7NEWS, today tonight, The zoo, Where are they now?, The lastand morning and afternoon newscasts.

Melissa and the 7NEWS team were honored with a Walkley Award, a TV week Logie Award and three Edward R. Murrow International Awards for their coverage of the Lindt Cafe headquarters in 2014.

She is also an accomplished radio presenter, a national patron of the Make A Wish Foundation and an ambassador for World Vision, the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, Westmead Children’s Hospital and Adopt Change. In 2016, she was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her “significant service to the community through representative roles with various charity groups and with the broadcast media”.

Originally debuting on Seven in 1975, hosted by Mike Willesee, This Is Your Life became one of the most popular shows on television in its six years on the network. It was also hosted by Digby Wolfe and Roger Climpson. The program aired on the Nine Network, intermittently, from 1995 to 2011.

The new look This Is Your Life will debut on Channel 7 and 7 later this year as a series of special events.

The new version will be produced for Seven by ITV Studios Australia. This Is Your Life format is owned by TIYL 2010, LLC whose authorized representative is Ralph Edwards Productions and is distributed by All3Media International.
