PRICE PREDICTION COMMENTARY: Michaela The only actor on the show who wasn’t Tony nominated nonetheless landed a name on TV Academy, which was surprising given that many (rightly) thought he would be nominated in the competition. ‘supporting actor for “In Treatment” instead. He might pick up a few more votes from those who are crazy for not having made that other final ballot, but it won’t be enough; this appointment will likely only be a ticket to even more important roles in the future.

Coming out of 2020 with two Oscar nominations (for acting and songwriting), Cynthia Erivo embarked on one of the most competitive Emmy races for her portrayal of Aretha Franklin in the Nat Geo anthology series. You can’t love “WandaVision” without acknowledging the bravery and commitment of Elizabeth Olsen as the titular Wanda Maximoff. The Disney Plus series made the Marvel character a true star and she tops the Emmy nominations tally for all limited series, winning the second most names overall. If a sweep is in the cards – and it certainly looks good to co-stars Paul Bettany and Kathryn Hahn – there’s no reason to exclude it from the discussions.

Critics Choice, Golden Globes, and SAG have all awarded Anya Taylor-Joy as chess master Beth Harmon in the Netflix series. She hasn’t faced too many of her fellow Emmy nominees in those races, so it’s a little different playing field now. Still, period pieces often do wonders for performers in this space, and the 1960s are a popular era for older TV Academy voters. It could help her maintain her status as queen.

The brilliant Kate Winslet can’t help but deliver outstanding performances and win awards for them. The HBO series, for which she is also nominated as an executive producer, is one of her best performances in film and television, and that says a lot considering that she has won an Oscar and has already won an Oscar. Emmy for “Mildred Pierce”. Social media was abuzz when the show aired new episodes, and it’s hard to watch the finale and not want to verify its name. It will be close.

The Emmy Nominee Observation Deck opens August 13, with final round voting, starting August 19 at 9 a.m. PT until August 30 at 10 p.m. PT.
