Limited Series, Comedy, Drama – Podcast – Deadline

“I’m just making a point to make this fascinating for our listeners here,” our awards columnist jokes on Deadline’s TV Talk podcast today.

As members of the TV Academy vote for the nominations as we speak, Pete Hammond and Deadline’s Chief TV Critic Dominic Patten want to make everyone’s day a little easier with some final predictions on who will make the or sections.

Listen to our latest TV Talk podcast (at least for this phase of awards season) here:

As you can hear, Dope, The White Lotus, Housemaid, The stall, Gas lighting, The first lady and Michelle Pfeiffer, and Under the banner of heaven are part of our bets to be serious contenders in the limited series category. With a certain Reservation dogs, Abbott Elementary School, Atlantait now over Grace and Frankie, better things and Blackish in-game, we also specify who will fill the 10 slots in the Best Comedy Series category. Of the 10 potential Outstanding Drama Series nominations, we’re naming names with Succession, You better call Saul, Ozark, yellow jackets and squid game as near certainties of getting nods when the names are revealed on July 12.

Honestly, that’s just the tip of the iceberg of our predictions and cold reasoning about who will get the nominations — as you can hear on the podcast. We also name a few long shots that are close to our hearts (Can you tell slow horses?).

In addition to our final nomination predictions in the featured categories, today’s TV Talk features some of Pete’s conversation from our recent Contenders TV night with We crashedby Jared Leto, as well as showrunners and creators Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello.

We also wanted to thank everyone who tuned in to the latest cycle of TV Talk. We also very much appreciate your comments and comments, even when you disagree with us.
