Of course, it’s on the list. Marvel fans had requested a separate film for Wanda Maximoff and Vision, and they got something even better. If you’ve lived under a rock and still haven’t seen WandaVision, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
Another gem from a Marvel miniseries, Loki kicked off phase 4 with a bang. The Marvel Universe was rich anyway, made with undertones that were made up of layers after layers. If you like shows and series made on a historical subject and directed very precisely, you must watch Chernobyl. What’s beautiful about the show is the way the story unfolds. The show begins with the explosion and continues by showing why the explosion took place and the actions of the men who attempted to control the damage. It truly binds you to the edge of your seat.
4. The Queen’s Gambit
Whether you like chess or not, you can’t deny it The Queen’s Gambit is a brilliantly produced show. The show is aesthetically well done, but more importantly, it has a great story. If you really like a good coming-of-age story, very few other stories come close.
5. When they see us
When they see us is essentially the story of 5 young boys of color, who are wrongly convicted of a rape they did not commit. Again, much like Chernobyl, this is a cinematic account of an actual incident. The boys’ journey and the way their convictions were overturned 12 years after their conviction is what makes the series truly fascinating to watch. You really connect with the doomed characters, even though there are shades of gray in everyone.
6. The Haunting of Hill House
Yes, The Haunting of Hill House is considered a miniseries, although there has been a subsequent series called The Haunting of Bly’s Mansion. With the exception of some actors and creators, the two shows were as different as chalk and cheese. The Haunting of Hill House is a beautifully crafted horror miniseries, which truly takes the human psyche into account. Yes, there are a few jump alarms here and there. However, the point of the show is not to scare you, but rather to make you think about exactly what is haunting you.
7. Special mention – Delhi Crime
Now a special mention must go to Delhi Crime. That you should watch it for stellar performance, goes without saying. However, the main reason everyone should watch this miniseries is because of the way this series was made. Certain details that the public could never know from the news or the police, were shown in the series, and in a very sensitive way. The filmmakers haven’t exaggerated anything. However, keep in mind that this one is not for the faint of heart.
