Jessica jones‘Krysten Ritter has joined the already impressive cast of David E. Kelley’s upcoming HBO Max limited series Love death.
Inspired by the book on real crime Proof of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs, as well as several articles by Texas monthly, the drama follows “two couples going to church, enjoying family life in a small town in Texas, until someone picks up an ax,” according to the official connection line.
Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision) will play the real ax murderer Candy Montgomery, while American Horror Story Vet Lily Rabe will play her friend Betty Gore, whom Candy killed. Ritter is about to take on the role of Candy’s best friend, Sherry Cleckler.
The enviable set also includes Ritter’s companion breaking Bad alum Jesse Plemons as Allan Gore, Patrick Fugit (Banned) like Pat Montgomery, Keir Gilchrist (Atypical) as Pastor Ron Adams, Elizabeth Marvel (Card castle) as Pastor Jackie Ponder, and Tom Pelphrey (Ozark) as Don Crowder.
Love death is written by Kelley, with Lesli Linka Glatter (Country) attached to direct.
