Hulu has released the trailer for its upcoming limited series titled Sick, with Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson. The series is set to debut on October 13.
The Sick teaser, which you can check out in the player below, features a pharmaceutical company that tricked doctors with its so-called ‘wonder drug’ that ultimately led to the worst drug epidemic in American history. It also highlights the people who tried to bring down those responsible for the United States’ fight against opioid addiction.

Inspired by Beth Macy’s New York Times bestseller, Sick is described as an ambitious, heart-wrenching and compelling drama that examines how one company sparked the worst drug epidemic in American history. It comes from writer Danny Strong and director Barry Levinson.
“The series takes viewers to the epicenter of America’s fight against opioid addiction, from Big Pharma boardrooms to a distressed Virginia mining community to the halls of the DEA,” reads. one in the official synopsis, “Defying all odds, heroes will emerge in an intense and exciting race to bring down the cowardly corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies.”
The 8-episode limited series is directed by Michael Keaton in his return to the small screen after 13 years. He is accompanied by Peter Sarsgaard, Rosario Dawson, Michael Stuhlbarg, Will Poulter, John Hoogenakker, Kaitlyn Dever, Phillipa Soo and Jake McDorman.
