Amanda Seyfried directs Hulu miniseries

Hulu has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming limited drama series The stall, which stars Oscar-nominated Amanda Seyfried as Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. It is set to debut on March 3, 2022, with the release of the first three episodes.

The stall trailer, which you can check out below along with key art, highlights a college dropout’s idea for a wearable blood testing machine that could potentially change the world. However, due to his hunger for success and fame, his idea turns into a big deception.

Based on the ABC News podcast, The stall tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos in a tale of ambition and fame gone wrong. It will explore what made the world’s youngest self-made billionaire woman, once heralded as “the next Steve Jobs,” lose everything in the blink of an eye.

The miniseries will be directed by Amanda Seyfried, who signed on to the project earlier this year after Kate McKinnon left the lead role she had been attached to since 2019.

Joining Seyfried are Naveen Andrews, William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Marvel, Stephen Fry, Alan Ruck, Sam Waterston, Kate Burton, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Bill Irwin, Dylan Minnette, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and more.
